Simon Thompson is an SME Finance specialist. Previously a CEO of a niche SME Finance business he is now sharing his knowledge in emerging markets worldwide. Simon has worked in markets as diverse as Rwanda, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, China, India, Kosovo, Papua New Guinea and Tonga. Most of this work has been on behalf of major development banks such as Asian Development Bank (ADB) and World Bank/IFC. Projects include country scoping work, market assessments, training on best SME Finance practices, movables finance, policy development and “hands-on” finance pilots.
